When we look back at past relationships, we (or at least I) tend to remember clusters of good and bad things. Time tends to diminish the bad, and puts a soft glow on the good. I don’t remember many of the bad things about the woman with whom I spent 13 years of my life, but I will always remember that never once did she come to greet me at the airport.

I’ve voiced my opinion tons of times about what I consider to be somewhat pointless displays of support that do less for the cause than they do for the ego of the person espousing it.
