Exactly. And, the Queen is not paid for being Queen of Australia. When the crowns were separated, she was effectively press-ganged into the role. The other members of the Royal Family aren’t even afforded anything more than courtesy titles, despite the fact that they may also at some stage be press-ganged into a role nobody ever asked them if they wanted.
Beyond that, the woman’s earned some respect. I’m no fan of monarchy, but if this is the system we have, she’s played a stirling role in it.
